Stuff...

This wasn't how I planned on starting this post, but imdb will do that to you. Did anyone else hear that Johnny Depp is rumored to be playing the Riddler in the next Batman movie?!? How awesome would that be? Of course James Franco is also rumored to be playing it, so we'll see. It is the first time I have seen imdb put up two people rumored to be playing the same role though. ::shrug:: Just was stoked & had to geek out for a sec. On to business...

So, I've been thinking about what I want to do with my life. Disneyland would be wonderful, but I don't know if it's really what I want to do forever. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to do it for a good long while and it would definitely be a great way to pay the bills while I pursue what I have realized that I would love to do.

It all boils down to art. Art in any form, really. I love creating. Anything. Now, I'm no good at graphic arts for the most part. No painting; no sculpting. I'm ok at photography and I love using photoshop, but I don't think that's what I feel called to. Wouldn't mind it as a hobby though. I love directing and especially lighting design, but those are rather tough fields to get into in the first place, much more so at this late stage of the game. I think I would like to be a writer. I very much enjoy well thought out fiction. If I can get my creative juices flowing into story ideas, I would love to write novels and/or screenplays. If I did get into writing screenplays, I would love to make films, too. I'd even love making films with someone else's work as the base. If I could find a good author to team with, I believe there would be lots of success. The other, and probably my number one, option, is music. I still need quite a bit of honing in that vein, but I feel very passionate about it. Composing and/or performing. Writing for a band, an orchestra, or film. Playing in a band. Any of the above.

As I said, it all comes down to art. I want to find a creative and possibly self-sufficient career. I want an outlet for all that is inside me just waiting to be shared with the world. I want to effect people, even if just for a moment. I want to make them laugh, cry, remember, imagine, dream. I feel like i have all this...stuff...bubbling up inside me, searching for an outlet; searching for a lighting rod to guide it into the hearts and minds of the people. I want to be a part of something lasting, with or without recognition. Just to feel that I've made a difference in a life. And...it would be nice if it could cover expenses, while I'm at it.
