Late nights, circulation, and bloggity blog blog?

I like writing late at night. You may have noticed that if you check the times I usually post. I'm not sure why it is, but it is. Maybe it's because the later it gets, the larger my vocabulary becomes. Another mystery. Though some of you may remember a rule that was put in place once upon a time that I wasn't allowed to use words over three syllables after midnight. Truth. It also might be that my mind has sifted through the thoughts of the day and settled on whatever it feels is important enough to urge me to share with you. Who knows. Maybe you have some ideas. Hmmm? Maybe?

Speaking to, and of, you out there, I was pondering how I could increase my readership. Not in anyway am I saying that you wonderful people aren't enough. I love you guys. I'm very touched that I have almost 70 people who (I hope) read this. I was only thinking about expanding my base so I could share with more people. I couldn't come up with anything that didn't feel devious or cheap. My first thought was just adding a bunch of meta tags with things like "naked girls" and "Paris Hilton" and "Brad and Angelina" and "Oprah's book club". Sleazy. Underhanded. Besides, anyone searching for those things wouldn't end up as a return visitor anyway. My other idea was shamelessly plugging items by doing "reviews" of them. A few problems there: A) I would have to find items and acquire them and use them and then gush about them. (Well, I'd only have to gush, I guess, if I wanted to get sponsorship and start making money from this. I could just honestly review things and maybe it would be good for a laugh or two.) B) I don't want to shill myself out. Even if it's not shilling, it would still feel dirty. C) It wouldn't really allow me the freedom to write what I want. So that's a no go, too. I guess I can only hope that I entertain you enough that this'll spread by word-of-mouth. Only time will tell.

I really was planning on putting at least one other random topic on here as a canvas for my thoughts, but I've got nothing. Strange really. We'll see if anything crops up later tonight (see above).
