Intro:

The beginning of a new decade seemed like a good time to give this a try. I don't know if anyone will really care or not, but I'm gonna have fun doing it and that's all that matters.

Beverly Hills Cop III & other random thoughts...

So, why the hell does Axel think Agent Fulbright is in on the counterfeiting ring? How was the audience supposed to suspect it? Why can't I find anyone else asking these questions anywhere else online? Seriously. Hugest. Plot hole. Ever. Oh well, other than that, I love that movie. I know all the horrible reviews it got when it came out, from the press and people involved with the production. Maybe it's just because of the association with a theme park...who knows, but I think it's awesome. Also, it's wonderful to have Bronson Pinchot reprise his role as Serge. Side note: Did you know that it was Pinchot's original portrayal of Serge in the first Beverly Hills Cop that got him offered Perfect Strangers? True. He was allowed to pick his costar even. Not too shabby for about 5 total minutes of screen time.

Speaking of Perfect Strangers, the banker in the Season 1 episode where Balki gets a checking account ended up playing Balki's boss in the mailroom at the Chicago Chronicle starting Season 3. That actor's name is Sam Anderson. He also played Bernard in LOST. Fantastic. Speaking of LOST, the special features on the bonus disk are phenomenal, but there are at least 7 easter eggs I can't find. :-(

So, Travelocity thinks they're so smart with their "Top Secret Hotels". Really? REALLY?? REEEEAAAALLY??? Has no one ever heard of Hotwire? Exactly the same idea, but it's all they offer. They have great deals and they've been around for years doing exactly what Travelocity wants you to think is their new and innovative idea. I call shenanigans.

Another commercial that usually airs right around the Travelocity "Top Secret Hotels" one, is GameFly. has anyone else thought that GameFly and Netflix should merge? It would be epic and I'd totally be more than willing to pay a little more for access to movies and games from the same source. If you're out there execs...take head of my words...and make sure after you make a bajillion-zillion dollars off my idea, just give ma a little cut or at least free unlimited Netflix for life. Just throw me a bone here guys; that's all I ask.

Still no resuscitation for my laptop. I got it apart, but there was no glaringly obvious screw up inside, like a disconnected cable or anything with a blinking neon sign saying "THE PROBLEM IS HERE!" Sad times indeed.

Trying to get my creativity back (kinda like Stella and her Groove, but cooler). I'm going to get back to guitar and composing, though no more songs on my Song a Week-ish blog for now, till I get my comp back up and running. I'm also thinking about trying to write...perhaps short story form...perhaps, the ever-trite, writing a novel. More on that to come though, so worry not your pretty heads for now.

K, gotta get back to Court Jester. Danny Kaye, one of my heroes. :-)

Until next time...
